And under stated and accepted etiquette for the Flag and Anthem - it is clearly a sign of disrespect

Really disappointed that you completely misread my comments. I don't think racism or his racism is clever. I never said anything of the sort. As a matter of fact I agreed that putting Lynch and Kaepernick together was clearly racist or at least had racist undertones. Your viewing through your bubble again.
I'm not saying anything about Boyer and Kaps compromise. But since you asked, I think Boyer asked Kap to do something that was less disrespectful than what he was doing. And I agree with him. Sitting is more disrespectful than kneeling. Doesn't mean it's not still disrespectful but its certainly better. I have actually said before that I don't think enough attention is paid to the fact that Kap made this compromise early on. I have also said that I think kneeling before or after the anthem would be an even better compromise.

Nope - it's pretty much uniformly accepted - we are not talking "white's only" drinking fountains or theatre seats here...
Especially as something as simple as etiquette where the flag and anthem are concerned
There is a litany of accepted guidelines on observance of every thing concerning the flag
It's really no different than going into a place of worship an cursing at the top of your lungs to a lot of people...

Had he chosen the same platform to advocate for better benefits for veterans, he would've been applauded. Talking heads have made this about the flag because it's an easier issue to tackle than what the protest is actually about.

Kapernick made it about the flag and his hate for The USA. The sheeple followed. Now they are saying it's about something they have no ideas on how to fix. It was ALWAYS about the flag and country.
I don't know any veteran who would of advocated disrespecting the flag or the anthem as a just means to their end...
And there are more than a few on here who can chime in if they wish
I've got two brothers who have done a combined 6 tours and have close two 50 years of combined service between them - and trust me, y'all don't want to know their stance on this...

Interesting that you chose one of the issues Trump has executive ordered his way to make a difference on while Trump haters everywhere have applauded the system that keeps feeding the corruption. My point is don't expect vets to take a knee on this one.

Some talking heads have said that including the one you linked earlier. Maybe so, maybe not. I think people would still be asking him to find another form of protest. The discourse would have been more civilized.
