Well, it has been said many times " Defense wins Championships". Are we covering spreads or winning championships? If the offense doesn't turn the ball over and puts some point on the board or the defense makes a few key stops last week....

Yep. It takes both.... If the offense makes 2 points or the defense makes a stop on 2 plays...We win last week.

Wrong. ALWAYS bet against your team. It's called hedging.

If they lose, at least you get paid. If they win, great -- you can say you "bought" them a win.

Of course, there will be times your team loses, but covers the spread. Or wins, but doesn't cover. In the long run, though, these ought to be a wash.

I suppose that is one way to look at it. It never has, nor ever will, occur to me to place a wager against our alma mater. However, there is a certain logic to your post. I also know you are not serious. You have a convoluted sense of humor, which I appreciate.

I would expect us to look very good this week. We have played games against teams with much better athletes than we will face this week. I think the game will slow down for JMar. Expect him to have a big night.

We are favored in every one of our remaining 8 games. We SHOULD look outstanding against our below average competition.

I don't think we are that good, and our competition that bad, that we can expect anything. It'll be a week to week struggle. Maybe I should say "weak to weak," since CUSA sucks this year. In years past CUSA has had 1 or 2 teams that are as good as any G5 team, and better than half of the P5s. Not so this year.
