Yep. We are favored in all of our remaining games and 4 of them will be at home. This talk about a .500 or losing season is just nonsense.
Yes, we've underperformed, but this team hasn't collapsed or quit and there is no reason to do so.
Don't blame me: https://www.footballstudyhall.com/pa...stical-profile
We just lost to a team that hasn't existed for 3 years. I don't care if they're loaded with JUCOs or they were allowed to bend recruiting rules. None of those excuses hold water.
We will probably beat Rice and UTEP, just because we're not quite as bad as them unless we try.
My own numbers are similar to FSH. Massey is a bit more optimistic. Sagarin is the most optimistic, for reasons already discussed.
I still think we *can* win - I think we have a good amount of raw talent. I don't know that I can say we are better than any of the teams we have left at home. We might be more "talented," but they seem to have something we don't: coaching, grit, and moxie. If we can find some grit or moxie, we'll hit 6, maybe 7 wins. But Skip has killed any confidence for me that he can win any given game regardless of the odds.
We gone be 11-3 this year - no worries!
Cue Jim Mora... "Bowl game!?"
We won’t win 6.
I want to be bowl eligible, I want us to have a bowl, but I really hate to get on a national platform and stink up a bowl. I want the bowl solely for an opportunity for us to practice longer this year and maybe work some issues out.
UAB is no slouch. They may not have played previous 2 years, but they have been practicing. They had their class frozen for 2 years- so a freshman when we played in 2914 would be a Sophomore in 2017 if he stayed there. The NCAA let them sign more players than normal.
They got a ton of FBS transfers & decent Are heavy on jUCOs
