But if you like the Eagles, you might also like War on Drugs, who kind of sound like what you might imagine if Don Henley was in Dire Straits and composed songs in the vein of Arcade Fire.

There are a lot of Porcupine Tree songs out there and a few more with Steven Wilson in his other groups and solo. It doesn't have to be new to be good. I could care less about "artistic". I want music that catches my ear. In fact the lyrics usually mean very little to me. To me it is all about the tune and particularly the melody and ambiance of the music.

As I recall they used "Won't Back Down" on the JRP Show a time or two.

As usual I am right, and you are wrong. The Eagles are now 4-1 and all alone in first place in their division. Hell! I'm not even following the effing NFL (very closely) and I get things right.

You should have learned by now to never doubt me. I'm not perfect, but at 99.999% right I'm damn close.

Has anyone heard the Tom Petty song "Spike"? Google it. The story behind it is hilarious.

I'm very disappointed in you and Dwayne. Neither of you had Running Down the Dream even in your Top 5. That's just sacrilegious. You should both just leave the building NOW, and go drink an Icee or something. Because this clearly proves that neither of you is really a Tom Petty fan.

Here's the OFFICIAL list of Tom Petty's 10 Best Songs, as per HogDawg:

    1) Running Down the Dream
    2) Won't Back Down
    3) Free Falling
    4) Learning to Fly
    5) Mary Jane's Last Dance
    6) I Need to Know
    7) Don't Come Around Here No More
    8) Don't Do Me Like That
    9) Into the Great Wide Open
    10) Yer So Bad
