I don't know how much NCAA football most of you watch, probably more that me, but if you notice the game commentary, it seems a lot of teams have the same problem. The coaches and talking heads give a lot of reasons and excuses for it though. They all seem to like to blame the spread offense making the game so much faster and the field of play now being larger and more open and that a lot of tackles are open field tackles and one on one.
I don't necessarily buy that reasoning, maybe some of those are valid reasons, but I think some of these coaches just failed to set their clocks forward and keep up with the ever evolving game.
