USM's Top 25 Defense Nationally

At mid-season USM's defense is ranked top 25 nationally in nearly every category. http://stats.ncaa.org/teams/113621
In our last two games vs them we've given the football away 10 times for 40+ opponent's points (excluding blocked kicks and bad snaps). We can't afford our offense taking us out of the game early again by giving them points instead of scoring for us.

And these stats were compiled against a schedule that include's 3 pretty darn good offenses....UNT, UTSA and Kentucky. Of course, their other 3 opponents are not exactly offensive juggernauts; Southern U, ULM & UTEP.

Fortunately Tech is an equal opportunity choker. Totally irrelevant where USM is ranked because they're going to burn our stadium to the ground regardless of skill or lack thereof.

They own the over all series by an embarrassing amount. We had a few good years recently, but even when they were down in '15 and '16 we were been embarrassed by them. That's what I call being owned.

I think that's approx what Sagarin uses. Gamblers like to figure home field is worth 6 to 7 (assuming the crowd gets into the game)

Louisiana Tech is very, very lucky to have 3 wins right now. We really do sorta suck. at best we should have 2 wins....somehow WKU let us win one.

Your team sounds a lot like ours. Sorta going through the motions. Same with the fan base. No excitement. No enthusiasm.
It took a while, but i think CUSA finally sucked the life out of us.
