A bad game? I've never heard of a Tech kicker having a worse game. TWO (2) missed PAT's, and a missed (or blocked) FG from 29 yds? Hell, even Trent Taylor proved he could kick PAT's without practicing for it.

One bad game doesn't mean you suddenly can't play.

And FWIW Trent Taylor did practice kicking before he actually did it in a game. He proved to Skip he could do it before Skip let it happen.

Y'all, we are FOUR POINTS from 5-1. I know the offense hasn't looked terrific, but we've been spoiled the past couple of years. The defense is much better than last year. And believe it or not, the other teams in this conference are better than last year. UAB is a bowl team.

Are we going to win tomorrow? I don't know. But if there's one thing I'm not going to do, I'm not going to just give up. Even if we don't win the conference, going to a bowl for a fourth straight year would be fantastic. We've never done that at the FBS/IA level before. I want a title, but if this year ends with beating a Belt team in New Orleans, that's fine by me. Rebuilding years are going to happen.

In 12 years in the WAC, we went to three bowl games. We finish above .500 this year and we'll beat that in just five years in C-USA. This is a good era for La Tech football.

So HBTD and beat the Buzzards!

P.S. I haven't seen it mentioned but USM announced Keon Howard will start at QB.

Admittedly, I've been on this board long enough to know what certain posters will say before they say it. That's not a complaint because I appreciate the camaraderie. This is, by far, the most intriguing game of the season for me. I could see it going either way but I predict a 2td win for LaTech (based on a number of variables). I am interested to watch what happens not to be proven correct, but because I am honestly interested to see how it plays out.
