A possible solution would be placing light cans from the outer poles. We have a few lights lighting up the outside of the stadium from them. Why not add some to directing light towards section EE?

Yep. You can take the boy out of the country, but you can take the country out of the boy. It's one of the dumbest and most obvious lighting mistakes I've ever seen. And it's a real issue. You can't see a damn thing up there in EE except the field. Good luck trying to read a game program.
Only 6 posts to get off thread. We are a work.
That was the old lighting system. This one was installed for the 2016 season along with the new scoreboards. That said I sit in the middle area in the superdome that looks dark in the pic but it doesn't seem dark when you're sitting there.

What shadow
I'm ok with the pole lights. I was kinda worried the lights on the press box would be too low and blind the student side (for the first half anyway). Not sure how it would look with poles on one side and on top of press box on the other. jmo
Anyone have any updates on the new lights?
Of all the things we have to worry about, this should be pretty low on the list. Are y'all performing surgery up there or trying to find Matlock in the TV Guide?
Class. You just can't teach it.
Bump, wondering when are we installing the new LED lights in the TAC. Currently, there is no buzz on improvements.
