Apparently, because that is what we've been doing. COYHCSH said yesterday that Scott is still our second string RB. Figure that one out.

I think this is one of our biggest issues this year. We don't have a starting RB. We have a tandem.

I think you have to pick a guy and go with him. My preference is Boston Scott, but for some reason Holtz loves Craft.

Either way. Pick you guy and run him. Stop swapping them out so no one has a chance to get into a rhythm. Its just as bad as not letting a QB develop a rhythm.

    I hate seeing:

    Scott for 6 yards
    Scott for 7 yards
Substitute for Craft, Craft for 1.

If you are feeding a guy and its working, keep feeding.

If we do that then some players might get their feelings hurt. Then we’ll have to set up safe spaces all over the DAC. Or worse, we might win a game convincingly.

One of my best friends in my company is a guy that lives in Boston and graduated from BC. He hated Fitch! I never made the connection that the same guy ended up in Ruston. LOL!

As Dawg80 said, this amounts to a "mercy hire". Shame on Holtz for hiring this guy and putting LA Tech at risk offensively.

Maybe so, but don't discount the huge influence HCSC's best friend is having on his offensive philosophy.

Craft was just as effective against Rice as Scott. He actually had a slightly higher ypc.
    Have you considered those Dogs?

Did you watch or listen to the game? Craft had a couple of good runs to up his average.

Craft's a good runner. The problem is, Holtz/Fitch like to call those lateral run plays, especially when we're down inside the 2-yd line. Apparently neither has heard of the "shortest distance between two points is a straight line" theory. Craft is not a sideline to sideline runner. He's a bull, and he should be used to punish tacklers between the ends.

I actually think Craft is a good blocker, too (hell, probably better than most of our O-line), and he's a pretty good receiver out of the back field. (Seems like we've forgotten those passes though...and J'Mar does seem to struggle with the touch needed to set up and throw a good screen). Boston is with out a doubt the bigger threat to break loose though.

I listened but admittedly couldn't detect what was going on for much of the game.

    They're both good backs.

Scott runs like he MEANS IT.
