The return of Woodard is going to be helpful for our WR corps. He was an All-American sprinter in high school on a 5A relay team; he's big, strong and fast and went out in the NSU game with a collar bone injury.

You remember that!? The Slippery Rock "The Rock" although I remember their nickname being "Teachers." Anyway, when Texas was #1 in the early 70's Slippery Rock claimed the top spot because they beat somebody, who beat somebody, who.....beat Texas. There were like 10 teams in that chain! I used to know the whole chain, but can't remember any of it now. It became a tradition, that continues to this day (I understand) that The Rock's score is announced at Texas home games.

Yes, I am really "experienced." ... That happened while I was on the Tech Talk sports staff and we talked about it a lot.

If we're not careful, you're going to be handing out a Heisman Award in a few minutes. We were awful yesterday, and it showed. Rice (1-7) was just more awful than we were. Yeah, yeah, I know.....an ugly win is better than a beautiful loss. And it's true.
I agree, it was AWFUL and we were lucky to win. Scott, Veal, and #21 on defense played damn good football.

Yea, it was hard sitting there and being amazed that the defense could not stop those end sweeps! But, shades of last few years, the offense pulled it out. Yea, I realize the defense got that pick 6 but Rice didn't stop that last drive by the Dogs.
