I txt'd a question to Coach Holtz on Monday to Teddy's Inside Bulldogs show, Asking if the back up QB's got any reps in practice?
His answer, and I am paraphrasing, was "no, that they got the reps in Fall and Spring camps!"
This game Sat. could be a total mess or possibly a Blessing!
Nate Cox---looks like he played basketball also so he probably has pretty good hands. The guy is 6'8", can't we have him just go stand in the endzone?
Would much rather see them helping our PPG.
Speaking of GPA's, how many academic casualties are we about to have?
We avg giving up 28 pts per game. Not fake news, stats. We are thinner on d-line and LBs than early in season. We let Rice run all over us in the second half. Offensively we score 28 pts per game. Again, thats the stat. UNT is better than Rice on both sides of the ball. We might exceed my 24 pts prediction on offense and score around our avg but I dont see based on stats and watching this team all season us winning the game. Do I hope we win, ABSOLUTELY!! Do we have the potential to hangd 45 on UNT and hold them to 28 - YES! BBB was not created for feel good purposes only it was created to have honest discussions about LaTech sports. Its easy to come on here and always pick the Dawgs, I certainly picked them to win this game at the beginning of the season, but I also thought this team would be much better. Here's to hoping I'm wrong - Ill be watching tomorrow with winning expectations.
So...I'm just curious.....what has Weston Elliott done to piss everyone off?
All I've seen Elliott do this year is come in for one offensive possession, and drive his team over 90 yards and throw a beautiful TD pass against one of the SEC's better defenses. WTF? Why doesn't anyone but me want to see this kid at least play a few offensive series'?? Geeez!
Frankly hoping to see a few new faces out there tomorrow, according to COYHCSH there were a lot of key injuries, after seeing the roster not sure if it is bad as Holtz said it was.
If we get a team leader this year, I feel like it will develop in a situation like this, players out of the twos and threes that are forced to step up and perform in a crucial game. The game tomorrow would be a good opportunity for some guys to have some success they have not had the opportunity in the past to have.
Maybe all of that only happens on the big screen, but I sure would love to hear Dave and Teddy say "hey, where has that guy been all season?".
