My wife and I will be there and we are bringing two of our friends who grew up in Boston and have never been to a college football game. I thought it was a good idea to bring them to homecoming at the start of the year, not so sure now
If anyone has anything special happening PM me and let me know. We want to show them a good time, especially before the game starts
Will miss this game as Techman05 jr and I will be at a church camp retreat. Hope we show up on the field! My seats will be filled!
This could is shaping up to be the defining game is COYHCSH career at Tech....
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
yep, he may have already peaked at Tech, but I hope not.
Meaning....what? Are there any implied repercussions for a loss?
Or, do you simply mean, a loss and it's typical Skip Holtz, just like ECU and USF, or, WIN! and show he can pull their butts out of the fire! Of course, even a win over UNT only sets up another "defining game" for Holtz, the all-important FAU contest. Followed by another one, provided he passes the FAU test, with the game vs. UTSA.
What scares me is this is his 5th year, and has only (or mostly) his own recruits now. Is this it?
Now, the flip-side of all of this is, well, two-fold:
1) 2017 ain't over yet. (yes, I am sorry, I have that little tidbit of optimism it's hard for me to shake)
2) Even if 2017 turns out to be clunker, i.e. 5-7 type of season, can't help but point to two 1-point losses and an OT loss, and who knows how many more close losses.
Then, do we all look toward 2018 with a healthy, well! our luck is bound to change next year!
I'm not saying there will be repercussions if it's a loss -
Just that basically all the veneer and varnish will be stripped off the surface and we will see what we truly have and there will be no way to sugar coat it to the vast majority of the fan base - his ceiling will be 9 wins and a division championship
If he pulls the W off then he has a chance to finish 3-1 or 4-0 and build toward next year with renewed hope

The dawgs have the ability to beat North Texas, FAU, UTEP and UTSA. Of course, they had the ability to beat the others. The question is, "who wants it?" After this past weekend, if the dawgs can win out---- well?? Our offense MUST be more productive, period. Our defense can't carry the team.
Right now, here are my expectations on LA Tech's chances to win our final 4 games:
UNT - Even
FAU - 40%
UTEP - 80%
UTSA - Even
So it's not unreasonable to expect Tech to finish 2-2 down the stretch, and 6-6 for the 2017 season.
If we're lucky, Tech goes 3-1, and finishes 7-5.
Just like Tech is USM's bitch - UNT, UtSa, UTEP are our bitches I think we will win out!
We have the ability to win out, but it's hard to see that happening. I feel better about beating UNT than FAU, but not by much. I have yet to see this team play a complete game this year, so it's hard to be overly optimistic with so much riding on these last four games. Best guess is we lose the next two, win on the road against UTEP and have a chance for 6 wins against UTSA.
