No, we don't. Further, the private money that COULD make something like that happen would never do it. There is NO WAY Holtz will be fired after this year. The biggest blunder was the extension, but it's done now.

Lol. You believing something doesn't make it a fact. I'm gonna go with USA Today's numbers from FOIA requests as the facts.

I don't think Holtz has done anything to warrant being fired. Yeah, I'm as disappointed as the next guy, but come on man! Good thing Notre Dame decided to keep Brian Kelly after last year's woeful 4-8 season.

I HOPE we can finish 6-6 and maybe sneak into a bowl. That would be good. And, I hope and EXPECT better things next year out of Holtz.

Do we really KNOW what Skip's "buyout" is? Not the vlaue of his remaining years, but rather the buyout? For the record, employment contracts can include a different buyout amount other than just the remaining years of the contract times the salary. For instance, a coach could have signed a 3.5M contract for 5 years, but with a $1M buyout clause included after year 1, etc.... Not realizing this, is a common mistake that many amateur fans make.

GEEEEZ....it's not a frickin contest. Some of us are just trying to figure out what LA Tech's options are. Do you care about LA Tech, or Coach Hotz?

Many on this board wants to fire him after any loss, one bad season does not warrant a firing. Also, it is not a stagnant environment all the teams discussed are much better than last year and are much more experienced. Let him run the team and, if possible try and become good loyal fans and not expect to be Alabama. Showing up and supporting the team, our University, is more than wins and losses. The program as a whole, I believe is better now than when he was hired. If you can’t same anything good just don’t say anything. There may come a time this kind of discussion may be warranted not now.

Who besides one screen name wants him fired? Most of us just want him to grow a pair.

I would settle for, if he just borrowed a pair for the rest of the season and go from there!

Amateur fan? More like amateur AD. lol

I told you what his buyout is three times. Here's a fourth: It's $3,208,333 to fire Skip at the end of this season.

I know that's hard to believe. Now let's talk about our amateur AD's buyout.

I have a question about that number and this is a serious question. Does that buyout have some kind of rollover amount attached to it etc. I have never seen a buyout clause be something other than a round figure i.e. 3 mil, or 3.2 mil.

Exactly what I was thinking .

He is a nice guy and represents Tech well, he just needs to be willing to try something different when what he's doing is not working. If his coordinators are being ignored, he needs to stop doing that, too.

And stop trying to sit on leads.

Wow. I can't believe an AD would put us in this position. It's much cheaper just to become a fan of another school.

Why don't we get rid of the AD and make Skippy the AD continuing to pay him what we are paying him then hire a more capable HC? I think we would be better off. Just a thought!
