A new article has been posted on www.latechsports.com:
Jalen Harris and DaQuan Bracey may be sophomores, but they did not play like sophomores on Monday night.

Didn't get to watch since I was in Sibley watching my son play, but we appear to be a pretty good offensive team this early in the season, got to play better defense and it sounded on the radio that Jean got jobbed on several calls that didn't allow us to get the separation in regulation to close it out
Bracey and Harris are really good
Boykins will heat up but he had a huge steal down the stretch in OT that got us the 6 pt lead
Looking forward to finally seeing them Saturday

The refs certainly didn't get the same memo as the refs for the Grambling game for the Lady Techsters. There might have been a record number of charges called in the Grambling game. I didn't watch the whole game tonight, but I don't remember any being called tonight - although there could have been a bunch called in my opinion instead of the multiple blocking calls.
Whew! At least we got the W!
I watched the second half. Officiating was as bad as everyone says.
We lose this game a year ago. Semo just couldn’t miss the last 5 minutes of the half and into OT. They got hot and we were able to slow the game down and hang on. Ridiculous contested 3s were still draining.
Tech played very well and got some horrendous calls that kept SEMO in the game.
Listening to it on the radio, this game reminded me of the Iona game as far as offensive flow goes
Not much defense by either team and when they did try to play defense it sounded like the refs got in the way
Jackson sounded very irritated on the radio with some of the calls on what he perceived as very good defense - we are very blessed to have such a good color analyst to sit beside Dave on the broadcasts

A couple of the “charges” were too deep, but Jean took 2 on ‘Urkle’ that were legit, but called as blocks.
If college basketball is still guard centric, we will be golden this year. We have 4 that we can roll out against anyone, and 2 more newbies that look pretty good.
the refs were so inconsistent with how they called contact. Sometimes a bump would draw a whistle...others a shove wouldnt. Sometimes a foul was ignored if offense initiated contact...others it was whistled. Makes it hard on the players and fans.
Our defense was a step slow...but that team did excellent job executing and knocking down shots. They ran a lot of weakside action and misdirection that is tough to cover.
I think Jalen goes off for 30+ in the near future...
Guy has major game

Did anyone else notice we attempted NO 3's in OT? and shot 5-5 from the field
Says a lot about the offensive adjustment of this team and maturity of it's young stars and Cobi's maturity as well - he didn't force the issue and let the hot hand of Harris get to the line to close out the game

We didn't have Boykins and McCree launching missed 3s. It was just Boykins this time and we had someone to rebound his misses. Also, we hit 82%+ free throws. Glad to see that!
Harris is so good because he can do anything AND he let's the came come to him. So there isn't much other teams can do to stop him - he can and will take what they give. He is going to be a very very consistent scorer. Beat his man baseline twice in a row, same spot on the floor. Dunk the first time, fouled on a dunk attempt the second time. This was during happened around a minute left in OT.
