Kiffin says, "Many coaches say 'I am happy here,' but I really am."
Which means he will be REALLY gone at the first decent offer from a P5!
No one can turn down P5 money, but he has learned no to go to a team with no talent and recruiting has no talent. He will leave but I think it will be to a team that is not a disaster.
How about A&M? Sumlin has really underachieved there. Counting Sumlin there have now been three ex UH coaches who haven't done great. I am counting the scandal at Baylor with Briles. It's only Herman's first year but I really don't see him doing much there since he inherited so much talent - Texas always has a top recruiting class.
I think A&M will want a safe hire . If Kitten were to fail it would cost the A.D. his job and put them so far down it would take years to get back. I would take a chance , they have to beat Alabama to win the West and he may be the guy that can do it.
When Kiffin says here, he means Florida not necessarily FAU.
I think A&M goes with Jimbo Fisher.
Florida State replaces him with Kiffin.
You must have missed hearing from the FSU President this week, "Jimbo is here forever. As long as he wants to be. He's good. He's as good as gold. He's going to be here."

Not too mention Jimbo's buyout is almost $40 million.
Proportionally, is that any bigger than Skip's?
I'm just wondering. Their total athletic budget is just over $128 million. His buyout amounts to 31% of their athletic budget.
I could see Kiffin at A&M or UCLA. Could he be a dark horse at a place like Florida? Probably not, but it would be a really interesting hire for them.

Word out of College Station is Sumlin is gone after the LSU game regardless of outcome.
