Week 13: UTSA (11/25)

Don't try Champ967's tailgate. Our uppity AD ran him off after MANY years of family tailgating.

8 seasons. 2008 - 2015. We had a good run.

In fairness, TMac wasn't the only reason we chose to stop. (Our U9's burgeoning soccer career also played a significant part -- she plays up with the U11s, and they also play on fall Saturdays.) But yes, we were priced out of our longtime tailgate spot. And our AD's attitude towards small to medium boosters didn't help any.

It wasn't a decision made lightly. Sometimes we miss it, but then we saw how Tailgate Alley had been transformed into a knockoff county fair (complete with carnies) and we knew it had passed us by.

Sometime when we're in Sherwood on a gameday I'll have to crash your home tailgate and eat all your themed food.

No telling what time we'll get over there today, but if it's early enough we'll try to get around and meet some folks.
