According to the Arkansas Demozette, Traylor was in Fayetteville yesterday with Morris. That sounds to me like he took himself out of the running for the SMU HC job.

He has expressed interest in the SMU job and is one of the candidates being considered. He is the only internal coach being considered and (as expected) the team is pushing for him. If he doesn't get the SMU job, he will be the running backs coach in Arkansas. He, like Morris, has deep Texas high school ties.
Tight ends and tight shirts... match made in Heaven right there.
With the stellar offenses they ran in Laffy, it only makes sense that he would be a position coach on that side of the ball.
