Early in the UTSA game, Ferguson looked like he was playing at 2x the speed he's played most of the year. I think he's been hurt.
I said all year that I think he was playing injured -- hopefully he will get better ( if he is hurt) and have a great 2018 season for us ..... before season started he was picked as probable CUSA defensive mvp --
Arkansas hired SMU coach today (14-22 record at SMU) how does that happen??
I think a huge game by some of our seniors in the DXL Frisco Bowl might get them a late invite to a senior game - maybe Secdrick Cooper or Boston Scott.
Cooper and Scott didn't do anything to hurt their stock in the bowl game. In fact, they both had good games, so I guess we will see if it makes a difference. I think the fact Woods is having a good year in the NFL could result in Cooper getting a few more looks. But time will tell.
I don't know. But what I do know is, LA Tech FRESHMAN Israel Tucker had a tremendous game last night. He had 5 solo tackles, and I think he made all of them on special teams kick returns that he made by himself. Tucker was an absolute BEAST on special teams last night. And get this.....he tackled the runners BELOW THE WAIST!!!! YES!!! It's amazing how that still works in football.
I'm telling ya, Israel Tucker was fun to watch last night. If he continues playing like that, he'll be All-CUSA next season.
Didn't Tucker get some trash time with Elliot that last series? The only "known" RB we have returning is Dancy.
Cooper is going to play in the East-West Shrine Game. https://twitter.com/Shrine_Game/status/945798944831000576
Cooper definitely has the skills and work ethic to earn a free agent contract. I think he will impress on special teams wherever he winds up, just as other free agents from LA Tech have done in the past.
I believe Israel Tucker is a scholarship player not a walk-on.
