So, how's the baseball team going to be this year? I was hopeful it would be our year in basketball, but sadly.....We ARE EL AYE TECH.

problems in the middle,” Konkol said. “When you try to penetrate and you have rim protectors there, it makes it difficult. When we really needed a bucket, we had a hard time getting it. We were able to get some off of our press, but we just could not get over that hump.”

This sums up Konkols approach offense & defense. Can’t score because can’t compete inside & cant defend cuz we can’t compete inside. But next we will recruit mostly guards & small forwards & one large kid that plays like his feet are nailed to the ground. If ULL can recruit bigs why can’t we?

We missed oliver powell yesterday (who was out due to the death of his grandfather). Duruji played outstanding in his absence.

So, what % chance do you put on Konkol going out to get a true big? Someone 6’9” or taller and 240 or bigger.

I suppose it's technically within the realm of possibilities.

He's not that big, but Konkol has already signed a big man last month for next season. He is Stacey Thomas 6'-8" 210 PF from Houston.

We REALLY miss Sherman. This team has one loss had he not flaked out.
    Have you considered those Dogs?

I can deal with a 6’8” power forward if he can be beefed up a little.

The Longhorn Network announcers said "Schools on La. Tech's LEVEL" can't get bigs like that.

Why would we? All the experts on here have convinced me that it a guard driven game. Not the one I enjoyed back in late 80’s to 1990.

Hawgdawg and I have been complaining about our guard driven team getting pushed around, since Mike Shite was here. Wait and see what happens come conference tourney time.

I guess we just need bigger guards?
