I’m wondering if the big difference maker in the team’s performance was that the coaches were busy sealing recruits and not so busy either trying to over-coach the players or scare them about making mistakes. The team played with a winning attitude right from the start.
It was a great season ending performance, perfect for setting up 2018.
And injuries had nothing to do with Barnes missing the chip shot FG against UAB on the last play of the game, causing us to lose by 1 point.
Injuries also had nothing to do with our defense giving up the hail mary pass on the next to last play of the game against South Carolina, causing us to lose by 1 point.
What’s the deal with Durban in the bowl game? I only recall Washington, Farris, and Scott handling all the LB playing time. Was he hurt or demoted? I saw he was dressed out, but didn’t see him on the field, not even on special teams.
It’s funny, some of our fans using injuries as an excuse for a poor season, yet want to crow about beating # 25 Navy who was on their 3rd string QB and 2nd string RB, and stomping an SMU team using a GA to call plays.
That’s rich.
Who are they, and what is their assessment?
Surely you don't think having players injured, even playing injured, would cause any difference???
Hint - Bonnette, Ferguson, Cooper, etc. Nah, don't need 'em at 100%, We just need everyone playing flawlessly, regardless of their talent or capability.
