Winning does change everything!

We often talk about it, but last night was proof, look how quickly the fans, media, etc. changed their minds about TECH. Many changed their minds about our level of play, defensive and offensive coaching, players abilities, and the QB position. I think we saw practically ALL our players play up to their potential and all of our coaches coach up to their potential, I am very happy and very proud of the team and coaches.

The 180* by most all last night is a big reason we need to keep demanding more than just mediocrity, if we had played like this all year we would be in much better shape, albeit SMU had a horrible game last night(which TECH caused). We have potential even though we are locked into the woods of Piney North Louisiana, just embrace those facts and keep supporting and keep pushing for TECH to be the best.

Many of you know I have been critical of this staff and some of the team this season and I am going to give that a break for a while so we can all bask in the bulldog glow of having a winning season and four bowl victories in a row.

Everything else aside, CONGRATULATIONS to this team and staff for a game plan well performed, you made us proud!


Just a side note, had a proud papa moment when this ticket promotion came out, that is my daughter in the lower right hand corner!

Winning changes most things. Seeing what we are capable of after several weeks of rest and prep is one thing. Don’t get me wrong, it was a thrill to watch. However, can we see this kind of prep and production week in and week out? Other teams in the country have game plans against opponents without 12 weeks of film and they do pretty well. Why does it take that much film study to know what a team does and does not do well?
