    2018 Schedule PREDICTION Thread

Looking at the schedule for next year, I'm trying to figure out what's best for the Dawgs

Here is my current prediction, based on current available 2018 schedules. I'm keeping the same Cross-Divisional opponents until I see otherwise.

I have a feeling Rice is locked in on 9/15 as we both have OPEN dates and nobody wants a bye that early. 3 out of 5 of our bye weeks have come in Week 6, but I prefer a Week 7 bye.

Having only 5 home games really messes up the balance.

I like playing USM last, but if we play at UTSA after Thanksgiving, that wouldn't be a bad trip.

    1-Sep at S Alabama
    8-Sep Southern
    15-Sep RICE *
    22-Sep at LSU
    29-Sep UTEP *
    6-Oct at UTSA *
    13-Oct
    20-Oct at FAU *
    27-Oct WKU *
    3-Nov at MS State
    10-Nov at UNT *
    17-Nov UAB *
    24-Nov at USM

Should be 3-0 going into LSU. Play up to those expectations, it'd be very refreshing to be in that shape that early.

Right now, I would guess 6-6 or 7-5. Hate that placement of the MissState game.

I'm hoping we're 6-0 heading into the showdown with FAU!

I don't have enough to go off of for a guess at how we will do. All depends on QB and running backs for next year. I am fine with our defense and our OL.

I'm hoping QB matures and develops into a class performer!

    Re: 2018 Schedule PREDICTION Thread

It depends on the running game: 1) will Tech run plays other than this stupid zone-read play? 2) can the OL significantly improve their blocking on this one play. Actually, that doesn't even matter because the off side DE will be the one to continually blow this play up.

We should go 3-0 to start the season...
The only good thing about this schedule is that I will get the chance to go to the FAU game here in Boca next year!
It will be great to be at a BULLDOGS game!

10-2 regular season and 1 bowl win to make it 11-2.
With a little luck we could have been there this year.

    Comments?
There's 3 losses there for Tech: LSU, FAU and MSU. And maybe a 4th loss at Southern Miss. But I figure we're bound to beat USM some day. The weaker team (USM) can't win it every year.

We really can and should beat LSU. But we can't do it with a crappy QB. Let's hope our QB issues get resolved before we play in Baton Rouge.

I really like where the open date falls.

    8-4 - we knock off a P5.

It's time for a big time win in the Holtz era. Beating LSU is what the program needs and what the fans want. That's the bottom line. Sure, I will be at all the home games and a road game or two either way but it's time.
    Have you considered those Dogs?

If we go 10-2 then chances are we'll play in the CUSA title game, then a bowl. So, make that a 12-2 finish!
