We should have voted Clinton in. Had we done that all the snowflakes would be happy, we'd still enjoy our racist statues, and Mr. Lee would still have a job.

YES! good one. She has both Stonewall Jackson and Robert E. Lee's name in hers.

You know the funny thing...neither Stonewall Jackson nor Robert E. Lee owned any slaves and they were anti-slavery. Why then, one might ask, did they fight for the Confederacy? Simple, they were both pro-Virginia. When Virginia cast its lot with the CSA, both Jackson and Lee saw it as their duty to defend their home state.

I can see why libtards have a hard time with that concept. The thought of having a duty to something other than their own self-serving interests is very foreign to them.

My great grandfather also fought for the Confederacy and also did not own slaves - neither did his father or any of his five brothers (three served with him in the 2nd Alabama Cavalry and one other in an infantry regiment). While slavery was the prime reason for the war it wasn't the reason most on either side fought, especially the westerners. I don't believe that modern people can understand the difference. When an army invades your home you want to defend it. There were some reparations paid to northern sympathizers for damages etc but very little. When the Union Army (especially Sherman) went through they just took everything and didn't ask or care if you owned slaves.

No doubt. The wealthy slaveholders may have a instigated the Secession, but lots of people got pulled into it.

Re: ESPN removed Asian American broadcaster Robert Lee from the UVA game

I cannot emphasize it enough, but the non slave holding farmers were fighting to protect their property and food. My great grandfather was among the cavalry that "harassed" Sherman's rear during his march to the sea. They hung on the spot what the Union Army called foragers but the Confederates called thieves. A little later he was with Davis and the government until they decided that 2000 cavalrymen attracted too much attention so they paid everyone $26 in silver and told them to disperse and go home. He was finally paroled in Montgomery in late May of 1865. One great great grandfather, another non slave holding poor dirt farmer, died of pneumonia at Vicksburg. Three other great great grandfathers all fought and survived the war. Only one had been involved with slaves (his father-in-law owned many) but didn't own any and was not working with them at the time of the war.

So you can see I have a lot of family ties to the Confederacy. You have heard of NEW RICH. Well I guess I'm OLD POOR.

I know several businesses like them. No one ever gets fired, but people get shuffled around a lot. They probably know that she is cheap labor compared to what they would have to pay a replacement. I don’t like anyone using their employment platform to promote a political agenda. Just feels slimy.

This is why I don't watch ESPN anymore unless it is a college football game on that I really want to watch. I'm sick of them and their political opinions of their commentators. I don't want to watch ESPN for politics. If I want to watch politics I will turn on CNN, FOX or some other channel, not a sports channel.

OUR American school districts nationwide are also like this and the education system in general. It's really sad to watch.
