Geeez.....please go to business school, BD.
It's not a "2 for 1" when LA Tech is getting PAID $1.1M for the 1st game. Rather, it's a pay day game, plus a 1/1. You and PD can bitch about the $1.1M pay day if you want, and you might actually have a case. BUT, $1.1m is probably the going rate for a mediocre P5. Mediocre P5's don't pay what Nebraska, Texas or Ohio State pays.
It's the not worst deal a Tech AD has ever made. So, it has that going for it.
If NC State actually comes to Ruston, it'll turn out okay. We'll see.
Really? You think this was a good deal? He accepted less money in 2018 than BVDV accepted six years ago. And you think that is okay because we MIGHT get a game in Ruston in return for ANOTHER road game that we receive NOTHING for, genius.
Our AD can't sell out our 26K seat stadium for an SEC game, so there is no real upside to having NC St in Ruston.
He left at least $2M on the table by making this 2 for 1 deal with a school nobody gives a crap about.
Have you considered that he may now be courting ACC schools for a job since none of the SEC guys gave him a glance? The Baylor deal was even worse, so maybe is is courting Big12 schools too.
The payday game and the 1/1 are considered separate deals in the first post. But they are considered as a single deal in the second post.Originally Posted by HogDawg

You can make two deals, and have one leverage off of the other. I dont think they do the home-home if we do a full price payday game.
