    Re: Release The Memo!

Guys, this was never about holding he FBI/DOJ accountable. What you can’t even argue against anymore is that this was just a Republican “political” and PR effort to provide political cover for the head of the party who is doing everything possible to end and discredit a Russia investigation involving his campaign. He is still basically the only person left saying that Russia didn’t intervene in the election.

What you have seen with Nunes and Trump is “swamp” behavior - putting personal political gain over candidness and forthrightedness.

Nunes, recall, was part of Trump’s transition team and for that reason agreed that he would recuse himself from the intelligence committees’ Russia investigation that, among other things, was also investigating the conduct of members of the transition team.

You may have forgotten as Nunes has been violating his recusal for almost a year now.

I still haven’t seen anything on the Russia investigation other than dems undermining and rigging their own processes. They got exposed and got mad. Who in Trumps camp has been proven to have broken laws while involved with the campaign or admin? Trumps people are guilty of being stupid at most. Hill’s people are worse than stupid. They manipulated a process and were stupid enough to get caught.

If this is a nothing burger in your opinion, has no merit, and just a big ball of fiction, then why did Schiff and others try to hard to keep this from becoming public? It would only make Republicans look like fools for pumping something with no merit.

Regarding the Trump / Russia collusion, there is nothing there. Even before this memo came out, time to move on. 18 months of investigation at FBI and they have nothing, nothing to hang on Trump. Democrats lost 2016 and based upon recent behavior will lose more in 2018.

Because it further politicizes the house intelligence committee investigation and the work of the FBI. In order to further prove how much of a nothing burger this is (beyond just the fact that the allegations of this memo are pretty thin on their face) the public would need to know all the other relevant facts the judge was told in the surveillance warrant application for Carter Page - facts that may be more sensitive to national security or otherwise. That has been the FBI and Schiffs argument all along - this report misleads the public because it omits important facts that would cause someone to reach a conclusion other than what the memo tries to get the public to conclude about the investigation or the possibility of malfeasance by the FBI or DOJ. So far the Republicans on the intelligence committee will not allow those other facts to come out - thus allowing them to have complete control over the narrative.

They have agreed to allow other facts to come out. They have to follow the same process as this memo.

Can you get more political than using falsified opposition research to justify spying on an American, and then using a document written by the person that wrote the opposition research as evidence that it had validity?

I am going to be interested in how this shakes out. I say let them all publish whatever memos and counter letters they want, then we can dig into the real documentation (like the paperwork filed to get the FISA warrant) and see who is full of schiff....errrr, shi#. Remember that McCabe reportedly said under oath that there would have been no FISA warrant without the fake dossier.

I am eagerly awaiting the IG report.

    Clean house!

I find it amusing that any dem would suddenly find the politization of any part of government to be something to be worried about. obama made a career out of it.

McCabe denied he ever said that.

    Others agree:

“The Majority purposefully mischaracterizes both what is actually contained in the FISA applications and the testimony of former FBI Deputy McCabe before our committee in December 2017—the Minority’s memo lays out the full facts,” the official said.

This is what I mean by Republicans controlling the narrative by hiding behind classification laws.

    I say declassify it all.

I also say it is amusing hearing a dem whine about controlling the narrative after what has taken place since Trump was elected. Trump is president. Hillary is not...thank heaven.

Schiff has been one of the biggest leakers known to mankind. Now suddenly he is worried about classification. Just have him leak whatever else he wants to bolster his petty case.

No they won't as the GOP wants everything in the open period! Everything including the Dems talking points/memo!! Which Hillary or Obama would never do.

But in the end, and as the old joke goes, the Dems/Libs chose "Death by Bonga Bonga"! And they just got and will continue to receive "Death by Bonga Bonga" of their own choice.

Lol. Do you really think Trump will agree to declassify the Democrat memo?

Rush: Mueller eyeing wrong people 'on purpose'
'This is entirely a Democrat-run operation! Trump was nowhere near it'

The talk host said “now find out that the special counsel is investigating the wrong people!”

“And that’s on purpose! The special counsel needs to be investigating the Clinton campaign and its conspiring with Russia to influence the outcome of a presidential election and then question the legitimacy of that election after it had happened. The collusion, the conspiring, all of that happened with the Democrat Party, with Hillary Clinton, the DNC, Fusion GPS, and the wife of Bruce Ohr, a DOJ official whose wife worked at Fusion GPS.”

    He said it’s “entirely a Democrat-run operation!”

“Trump was nowhere near it. The special counsel is now looking for evidence of Trump conspiring with Russia, so there’s none. Nobody found any. Now they’re looking at Trump obstructing justice. This is a major, major expose. The swamp, the establishment has had the lid blown off of it today.”

Democrats contend the memo is incomplete and misleading.

Republicans said it was a good start to bringing transparency to the bias in the federal government by bureaucrats seeking to undermine President Trump.

It was those bureaucrats, the memo revealed, who, Limbaugh said, “knew that Christopher Steele wrote the dossier with the assistance of Russian agents.”

“They knew that Christopher Steele passionately opposed Donald Trump and did not want him to become president. They knew all of this. They knew it was made up, and they wanted all of us to read that – and, as such, for over a year we have all been able to read about the golden showers. We’ve been able to read about all the so-called Trump people that met clandestinely with Russian agents,” he said.

    “It never happened.

“Neither did the golden showers happen.”

    He pointed fingers.

“People at the Department of Justice and the FBI – and this means Loretta Lynch. This means James Comey. This means up to Obama. This means people knew that the Steele dossier was an opposition research document from the Clinton campaign. It was not intelligence. They knew that but did not inform that FISA court of that.”
