Diaz insinuated in TNS article yesterday that we had a problem holding on to assistants. The history on Curtis for those who keep track...

- After his NFL career he coached juco ball until Dykes hired him at Tech in 2010.

- Texas Tech, his alma mater, hired him after the 2012 season.

- Texas Tech fired him and Holtz picked him up again. He made $100K at Tech for two seasons. Not bad for a guy who had just been fired.

- He was loyal to Dykes who was obviously desperate for a DB coach. We'll never know how much SMU paid him, but it was never about money. He owed Dykes.

Of course Diaz chose to take the easy way out and bash Tech, but offers no solutions to the perceived problem.
