Still amazed at the 4,031 attendance for the ODU game; didn't appear so to me, but what would I know ??

Here are the NCAA reported average attendance/game numbers:

    2009-10 (rupp) 2438, 2010-11 (rupp) 2168

    2011-12 (White) 3165, 2012-13 (White) 3531, 2013-14 (White) 4186, 2014-15 (White) 4243

    2015-16 (konkol) 3855, 2016-17 (konkol) 2942, 2017-18 (konkol) ????

We need a 16/9 guy down low that can body up and play D. NSU has a Louisiana guy last year as their best big and he is huge. Wonder why we didn’t go after him.
AD gets off the floor so well on his jump shots. Tough to block when you can clear a guy 2-3 inches taller than you. I like our young players, but they can’t carry us.

You either have to compensate for deficiencies by playing a certain style and become proficient in doing it or you have to recruit a caliber of talent that is sufficient to exploit the deficiencies of your opponent. We don't seem to be doing either at the moment.

It was pretty brutal. In addition to being dominated by ODU, the refs piled on with a few ridiculous calls and no calls. Overall, it was tough to watch.

No surprises from ODU game and probably going forward for the rest of this season. I am not sure you guys realize we have 1 post player on the roster and he is 6'7-6'8 max. Washington, Duruji, and Pemberton are NOT post players. Duruji can handle himself ok down there but he's 6'6 maybe 6'7. This team has to find some post players this offseason pronto. Konkol needs to send McKinley and Curry packing in the offseason and find two more 6'9 - 6'11 guys that can play. Every other team in our league has post players so we better find some bigs somewhere. We have one FR signed but that's not enough for next season.

I don't know if we need to send anyone packing. With the departures of Harris & White, we can find some bigs. I'd like to see a JUCO/Graduate transfer and a HS signee.

Just think where we'd be if we still had Omar Sherman.

Curry and McKinley aren't going to bring anything we don't have for next season. Neither worked out for different reasons but we could also use another guard somewhere and not sure we have room to add 2 bigs and a guard.

I agree Sherman leaving killed us. We need a couple a good grad transfer who plays 4/5 and another JC or HS kid who can play for depth and honestly I'd prefer a defensive presence/rebounder to someone who can score down low, if I have to choose.

100% accurate post. This could be said for the last ~25 years of Dunkin Dawgs and Lady Techsters basketball seasons. We simply don’t/can’t/won’t sign and retain more than one good inside player at a time. Karl Malone 6-9 and Willie Simmons 6-11 were the last true PF + C combination we’ve put on a basketball court.

We don't know what Curry can do. It is my understanding that he has not been healthy enough to play.

I would like to know what he can do also. He has a thick frame and he looked to be somewhat athletic in the little bit he played against UT-Tyler. If he has decent basketball skill then we need to keep him because of his body.

He is not a post player, will only have one year left to play and who knows if he will be healthy enough to play next season? He isn’t even practicing. We need post players. He plays the same position as Washington, Duruji, Pemberton and Christon. There is no place for him on the roster.

Redshirt for this year then he'll have two years left. Says he's a PF. Don't know if he will be healthy enough or not but if he is then I don't think we should let him go. Watched his highlights at Pensacola and he looks like he can contribute. He can play outside and drive but he can also play in the paint. We need role guys down low and he could possibly become one. He has some thickness to him and we need some guys that can bang. If he embraces the role of a banger down low that can grab some rebounds and play good defense then he would be very valuable for us. I wonder how well his knee is healing? That's the key.

It was a bad recruit. McKinnley too. When you recruit Jucos/transfers, you expect them to contribute that year. Right now the team is out of balance. Lots of guards, no pf, no center.

    This is a recruiting issue.

I really like Powell at the 4 or even the 5 some. He has progressed alot this year but he needs some help down low and we definitely need some depth. Hoping for a grad transfer PF/C and maybe another FR big who can provide some minutes like Powell did last year.

I think you fellas are already forgetting thins mike White taught. He said it takes a juco a year to get use to the speed of the game. They are always more productive the second year.
