I am not part of that tribe. I am just against the sewage that Trump has brought into the White House.

Falling back to tribe comparisons is the tool of one who refuses to engage in the actual argument. It passes for discourse now, but a first year logic student can tell you it’s tripe.

A Trump hater claiming logic. That's great.

There is no actual argument. The socialists are taking advantage of a topic they ignore when one of their own is involved. To make Trump look bad and to deflect from their mounting problems is the real reason. Not because they actually care about the abuse of women.

Hum.....why do they still and did the Dems/Liberals, Clintons, Obama and the lame stream media allow Delaware senator Tom Carper, a Democrat, who admits beating his wife to stay in the Senate? Why did Dems make accused rapist and predator Pres. Bill Clinton (D) a hero? Why did the Dems allow an ex -Grand Wizard of the KKK remain a Dem. Senator (Sen. Robert Byrd)?

Dem Senator Who Hit Ex-Wife Gives 'No Comment' on Rob Porter...

Delaware senator Tom Carper, a Democrat who has admitted to hitting his ex-wife hard enough to give her a black eye, will not be commenting on the scandal surrounding spousal abuse by now-resigned White House official Rob Porter.

The accusations from Porter's two ex-wives of domestic abuse, which were bolstered by a photograph of one of them with a black eye she says was caused by Porter, was the top political story this week in Washington, D.C. Carper, however, has been silent.

"We do not have a comment on Porter," said a Carper spokesperson.

The Delaware Democrat first faced accusations of domestic abuse back in 1982 during his first run for Congress, but he called the accusation "without basis in fact" and prevailed in the election.

In a 1998 interview reported on late last year by the Washington Free Beacon, however, Carper admitted it was true all along.
"Did I slap my wife 20 years ago? Yes," Carper told Delaware reporter Celia Cohen

Every person who serves in our government who has abused their spouse or is suspected of abusing should be made to step down.

You are obviously not qualified. There is still time, though.

If you over do it, you may end up in Hollywood instead.

    Re: Allegations

I've been married 32 years and have never even come close to hitting my wife....the very thought of it makes me ill. She is the best thing that has ever happened to me. But, this is not about me.

We, as a nation, are on a slippery slope re: allegations and how they are being used as political weapons. And, there are laws designed to protect people from their employers, or potential employer during the hiring process, from using information irrelevant to the job to affect someone's employment status. Now, I must hasten to add, as a less-government person I think some of the laws/rules infringe on a business owner/manager's rights to make the best personnel decisions for their private business. But where to the draw that line is a subject for another discussion.

Some say Porter was compromised because he had those wife-abuse cases from his past. He could be blackmailed...that's the fear... and do something contrary to the best interest of the WH, and thus to the nation. Well...not now! The whole world knows about it. He is blackmail-proof now. But, that was not the real reason. It was a political attack job. And that is a real danger. Oh, the left is trying to pretend to be all concerned about these "victims." They don't give a rat's azz about those two women, and don't really care about women in general in such cases. We've seen how defensive the libtards get when it's one of theirs on the hot seat, like Slick Willy. All the left did was attack, attack, attack those women who came forward. No concern for those victims.

And, back to my original point re: allegations. When the mere mention of something creates chaos and provides the means to remove someone from a position then we have crossed the line. Then, even if the allegations prove to be true, that does not mean the person cannot do their job. Yeah, some will say well, that person must not be a good person and therefore we don't want them continuing in that capacity. The "Holier than Thou" crowd will act like they don't have anything wrong in their past and cast stones.

DC is a cesspool. A wife-beater is small potatoes in the Swamp. I can see all the Swampers getting together for a bar-b-cue and sharing stories. When they get to Porter, "you beat two wives? Oh, but what else have you done? That's it!!! What a rank-amateur you are! Look at Eric Holder, he gave thousands of automatic weapons to the Mexican drug cartels and they have used those weapons to murder thousands of Mexican people and at least one US Border Guard. Now! that's the kind of stuff we do here in the Swamp. Beat your wife? What a rookie you are!

I"m not tribal. I think it was a huge mistake for a person with a questionable criminal record to be allowed to serve. This case is a perfect example of the double standard that the GOP has always had to be careful about. I think Trump is now caving to demands of the swamp. The "tribe" says "oh well, spending goes up with every budget anyway, we'll give the socialists what they want. I say BS! The tribe says, "we need to keep the pre-ex clause in healthcare". I say BS! The tribe says "we need a sunset periods nn the tax bill". There are many things I don't agree with Trump on. Unlike socialists with their corrupt leadership, I don't follow him blindly. I never followed either of the swamper Bushes blindly either.

Rand Paul is probably the only one who deserves his own ultra conservative tribe, but he has no chance to be truly successful in the swamp.

Rand Paul is that lone voice screaming in the wilderness, er, swamp of DC.

I agree with Greg Gutterfeld (sp?) if "they" (our gallant leaders) don't care about the deficit and national debt, then let's stop paying taxes altogether. What would another few $trillion do to the debt? And, who cares?

I’ll take it a step further. If our leaders don’t want to pay the country’s bills, then why should we pay any of our own. No more house note, car note, or college tuition debt.
