RBI for Parker Bates. Tie game, two out (at the plate) with Bates on 2nd. New pitcher. Ground out.
1-1 going to the B9.
It’s a shame we haven’t gotten Miller any runs
T9 | TIE GAME! Huddleston scores after an errant throw from first on a routine grounder from Parker Bates! Mason Robinson was tagged out trying to score and Bates advanced to second on the error. The Waves will again head to the pen.
Fly out, fly out, strike out. T10 = Free Baseball

Game over....lost by 1 run
One offensive and one defensive error (by the same guy) in the 4th made the score 1-0 bad guys when it should have been 1-0 us.
As usual our HC waited too long to pull the reliever. The winning run was a walk.
We had our chances.
Lots of new names for our Dawgs.

We stranded a lot of base runners (8 hits, 1 run) that could have won the game if we could just get an RBI.
A new article has been posted on www.latechsports.com:
Pepperdine's Dempsey Glover drove a single just over the glove of Louisiana Tech's Tanner Huddleston with the bases loaded, as the Waves walked away with a 2-1 victory in the bottom of the 11th inning.

Discuss it here.
We stranded runners. That happens to the best teams.
The best teams don't make base running errors and errors on routine grounders in the same inning. The 4th inning was our doing in. Then for good measure our HC allowed our reliever to pitch way too long.
We wasted an absolute gem by Miller. He was phenomenal on the mound.
The E6 and pick-off resulted in at least a 2-run swing. Rough game.
I hate small ball, especially when we can't execute it. If we get the bunt down in the 8th, we score a run. Two failed bunt attempts turned into a foul out without advancing anyone.
I thought Robinson was safe on the head first slide at the plate in the 9th. Their pitcher never got his glove down. We got screwed by the ump on that call.
I think our 3B coach made a mistake by not sending Skelton to 3B with 1 out on the hit up the middle in the 10th. If he gets to 3B safely, we would've won the game.
Their starting pitcher who shut us down was 2-8 with a 4.61 ERA last season. Not exactly a Friday night ace. Our bats better wake up tomorrow.
The WCC and Stadium should require at least 3 camera angles for production. One camera is amateur.
Also, it makes no sense to recruit to and manage a small ball philosophy when the Love Shack was built to host home run derbies.
Go Dawgs!
