Baseball. Bulldogs Set to Open 2018 Season in Malibu

Our HC managed the pitching well in game 2 yesterday. He needs to see if a couple of the guys on the bench can hit a baseball.

Small crowd. Less than 200 but quite a few Tech fans here. I would guess close to 50/50.

As for game 2 of DH, not much offense to speak of. Tech led off game with back to back hits but failed to score. Didn’t get another hit until 7th inning. Pepperdine’s lone run scored came on a 2 out drag bunt, so technically not a squeeze. Huddleston fielded hard rolling ball about 6 inches inside chalk while on the run, about half way to the plate, but he had no play and made no throw. He probably should've let it roll in hopes of ball rolling foul. That said, he made some nice plays and is a solid 3B.
Overall, pretty clean games, just lacking timely hits.

I believe we'll be fine on defense. Ironically our best infielder from last year already has 3 errors. So far Bates has been our best all round player. It was obvious last year that he had the skills. He made three great plays yesterday that may not have been made before. Some of the guys who are supposed to be hitters are letting us down. We need the win today. It's going to be tough on Tuesday vs McNeese.

Mallard was really in the pitcher's head with that big lead and then stolen 2nd base. Tie game, pitcher exits.

Who is coaching 3rd base? Whoever it is just cost us a run in T4. He also cost us at least one run in game 1 yesterday...probably 2.

When is he gonna figure out being fast does not mean you are a good base stealer? Probably cost us another run in T5.

Make it another error on our 3rd base coach...Good grief man! You are KILLING us.

Yesterday, he sends a guy home with 1 out men on 2nd and 3rd. The ball never got through the infield and we got nailed at the plate. Today he holds a guy at third when a ball is hit to right. He also holds him while a run down is going on with one out.

Then he waves a guy around third when the ball is clearly coming to home on an easy play.
