Either Pepperdine is not a very good hitting team, or that was a very encouraging start to the season for our pitching staff this weekend.
Good old Memorial Gym
Can't wait to get out there and watch these guys! Hoping we see this young group come together quickly and make some noise!
After the first weekend of action (4 games), LA Tech pitchers own a team ERA of 1.49. That’s the second-lowest mark in @ConferenceUSA and 17th-lowest in @NCAA baseball.
Tony T. bleeds purple, going all the way back to his grad school years at Tech. Made no bones about it and was very proud of it.
Yeah. He made that clear when he rebranded KWKH the Home of Legends to AM 1130 The Tiger because "Shreveport-Bossier is undoubtedly an LSU town."
But I'm willing to forgive him and give him a chance because he's good at his job, and he's probably the best available. I can't stand listening to bad, amateur pxp guys like the fill-in Tech rented for baseball the last couple years.

David Gascon was really pleasant to listen to this weekend -
Understated, knowledgeable and a very pleasant voice without trying to interject his opinion on the game
I know it will be sacrilege to most, but Freeway is getting long in the tooth and he will not be able to call our games forever - it's time to start "grooming" our next legend
I will say this - I think on the local scene, Kyle Roberts does a good call
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
FWIW - (at this point a grain of salt) - after one weekend Warren Nolan has us predicted to be second in the conference with an overall win total of 40+ and a sub 30 rpi at season's end....
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
Agreed. Kyle has done a good job filling in for basketball. He's a lot better than the Voice of the Lady Techsters. I've never heard Kyle call baseball. Hopefully somebody other than the amateur from the last couple years will get an opportunity this weekend. It's time to start tryouts.
