The pellet guns were developed after Hitler took their firearms.

More often than the good guy’s gun getting used for something good, it is used for something destructive for his family - easily more than 10 times more often.

How often is an AR associated with saving lives vs taking them? Don’t include suspect injuries/deaths.

AR platform? What about other so-called civilian military style guns - AK, SKS, FN, HK, Barrett and countless other platforms?

You are using that phrase incorrectly.

For every time a gun in the home was used in a self-defense or legally justifiable shooting, there were four unintentional shootings, seven criminal assaults or homicides, and 11 attempted or completed suicides.

Regardless of my previous questions, I don’t think the data is reported at that level of granularity. You can look up homicide data by the general type of gun (handgun, rifle, shotgun), but I haven’t seen even the homicide data broken down further based on how the gun is loaded or it’s action and certainly not the specific platform.

The big difference with so-called AR platforms is their potential for mass lethality can be more easily exploited by even lesser trained civilians than with handguns, shotguns (apart from those bullpup shotguns), and rifles that do not have the combination of high velocity rounds with low recoil and handling/sighting/loading features available on the AR platform and its cousins. These rifles can be shot by novice shooters effectively and efficiently, which is one of the reasons they are one of the most popular guns in America.

Okay fine, any platform you want to pick that the left has labeled an assault rifle. How often are they used by police to stop a crime? How often are they used to stop home invasion? How often are they used as murder weapon?

You are changing the topic somewhat when you lump in police use of the weapon with civilian use.

Murder, criminal assaults, and suicides have been in existence since long before gun powder was even invented. They will always be a part of human life. Guns are not the reason these things exist, and you're smart enough to know this.

Gun ownership comes with some risk and responsibilities, but so does the ownership of automobiles and practically everything else that's a part of our lives. We gun owners accept those risks and responsibilities, and the vast majority of us behave safely and responsibly with our weapons. A few do not. A few people drive drunk and kill innocent people, yet I've never seen you call for banning cars. It'd be foolish of you to do so, just as it's foolish of you to call for the banning of so called "assault rifles". It's called hypocrisy, and it's a part of the liberal condition that you suffer from.

The simple fact is that the police can not be there to protect people 24/7. This is especially true after the open border policies we lived with under the Obama administration. This is why we gun owners choose to protect ourselves with the best defensive weaponry available to us, and that includes semi-automatic rifles, shotguns, and pistols. Those that would ban guns want to be able to impose their will on others (it's called tyranny), and removing one of our best means of self defense is just one piece their evil intentions. President Trump has shined a light on the tyrants that make up the deep state and we can all now clearly see who our enemies are. We will not surrender to them even if people like you are willing to do so. Our right to gun ownership is one we'll literally fight for. Do people like you understand that when you call for gun confiscation, you're calling for civil war? Do you not believe this? Do you not believe that we would fight for our right to keep and bear arms?

Right to bear arms shall not be infringed.

    Period. End of story.

    Re: 2nd Amendment

The right to bear arms (rifle, shotgun, handgun) should not be infringed.

But the right to bear military weapons needs MASSIVE OVERHAUL. No citizen needs a weapon that fires 30+ rounds a minute!
