Reported or gathered statistics are not actual statistics. You insist on your stats being the gospel and I've explained to you over and over why those stats are so wrong.

You are just wrong and you don’t have actual facts to back up your opinion. You question some of the assumptions, particularly in the reporting, but your hypothesis is not testable and is thus more a religious belief. I have also posted actual data research that explores your assumption of a reporting data skew and there is just no data supportable reason to believe that the reporting is so skewed against self defense to overcome the spread in probability of death by gun that correlated to gun ownership. Any belief otherwise is a misinformed belief or a religious belief.

The overwhelming flaw with your criticism is that is relies on the faulty assumption that when one pulls a gun in self defense and no one is shot, that the person had a better outcome BECAUSE they had a gun. In the reported cases, the statistics show that not to be true. Thus for your religious belief to be true, unreported self defense instances would have to occur at a highly skewed probability frequency (at least a magnitude more frequently than reported stats) AND you would need the favorable outcome probability to skew dramatically more favorable than the reported stats. That, my friend, is a hope AND a prayer.
