We just beat #8 (and previously undefeated) Texas A&M of the mighty S-E-C. This is a team that is better than 6-4 LSU!!!! Where are all of the people that believe that Tech beating LSU is the biggest accomplishment we can make??? They should be lighting this thread up!

The ones that said thats the biggest potential win of the 2018 football regular season? Right here. And it is.

This is a big win. Nationally, for the same reasons. Ranked, SEC, get some news flowing. Lets keep the wins flowing.

Baseball Baseball. Bulldogs Knock Off No. 9 Aggies to Open Frisco Classic

A new article has been posted on www.latechsports.com:

The Louisiana Tech baseball team utilized a dazzling start from starter Matt Miller and timely hitting from the middle of the lineup to take down previously unbeaten No. 9 Texas A&M, 4-2, on Friday night from Dr. Pepper Ballpark.

I watched on Youtube. It was a good production other than Mikoski's constant "smattering of blue" comments. They also went overboard on the hawking of the production via Facebook/Youtube. I've watched much worse productions on ESPN3.

This was a very pro quality production (it's not your in-house university production). Lots of camera angles, audio was clear and sync'd, platform was stable. This was equal to Stadium's broadcast of our bball game.

With consistent hitting and a little better base running this team could be scary good.

Exactly. If the offense can start consistently showing up before the 6th inning of games, this could become a very good team.

    FIFY

FWIW, other than getting picked off a couple of times the base running errors have been on our coach.

I think the Aggie hitters were hurt by having nine straight home games. They kept watching strike after strike, thinking they would get the calls. The "home-cooking" umps, lulled them into a false sense of the strike zone and it hurt them last night.

    That's a very good point.

Does anyone think the NCAA would ever hire the umpires/referees for all sports instead of the conferences? Which would go a long way to being fair and equitable, which why it will probably never happen...

^^ This is what needs to happen. I have never understood why conferences and conference consortiums get to hire officials and teams get to pick officials. They should all be employed and assigned by the NCAA.

I was at the game and had a great time in Tech's left field deck/porch area. The venue/stadium and surroundings are incredible and very family friendly. Anyone within 3 hours needs to go today or tomorrow to watch us beat Cal and Baylor. Awesome win!
