As one of my word dropping friends likes to say, "rain looks imminent" for the weekend.
One of our weather men here in Houston says it has. In reality he has only predicted rain every week end. Technically he may be correct, but if we had rain last week end it was only a trace. He counts 30-40% chance as "predicting" it will rain. Used to have to be 50% or better before rain was "predicted". But I believe you guys have had a little more than us the last few week ends.
I'm told Plan B if needed is for a doubleheader on Saturday
SCHEDULE UPDATE Due to predicted inclement weather, Sunday's game has been moved to a doubleheader on Saturday! Adjust you calendars accordingly!
Friday : 6 p.m.
Saturday: (Doubleheader) 1 p.m. & 4 p.m. (or 30 minutes after the first game ends)
Sunday: No game
10:49 AM - 16 Mar 2018
Maybe I can make the second Saturday game -
Haynesville plays in the Summerfield tourney today and tomorrow

Tech is looking solid all around thusfar.
Tech 6 - Rice 0 through 5 complete.
Tech wins 8-2.
What a fun game to watch. The Dawgs were "all business"- GREAT HITTING, strong pitching,... We don't usually just cruise through a game firmly in command, but we did so tonight.
Good luck in tomorrow's double header Tech!
Who is on the hill in game 1 tomorrow?
A new article has been posted on www.latechsports.com:
Matt Miller tossed seven innings, giving up just one run, while the offense cranked out 13 hits, including a season-best three home runs, en route to an 8-2 win over the Rice Owls in front of a crowd of 1,906 from J.C. Love Field.

The two teams return to the diamond for a double-header tomorrow, getting rolling at 1 p.m. Tech is slated to start Logan Robbins (3-0, 1.48 ERA) and Bailey (2-1, 1.64 ERA), while Rice is projected to go with Kendall Jeffries (1-0, 3.60 ERA) and Roel Garcia (2-0, 2.38 ERA).
Solid game last night.
- Our score keeper? How was that not E2 in the 1st instead of a hit? Later when you scored E3 it looked like it could have been E6.
- Base running was good. Still had one bad mistake, but it was on the runner not the coach.
- Miller had 70+ pitches through 6 and said he was getting tired. Why put him back out there for the 7th?
