We have two pitchers in a similar situation this year. After 28 games, Kyle Griffen and Tyler Follis have the best two ERAs on our team at 0.00 and 0.70, opposing batters are averaging only .173 and .122, their combined W-L record is 5-1, and they've struck out 41 of the 142 batters they've collectively faced. No other pitcher on the team has numbers like these guys.
We've got to stop "saving" our best arms while other pitchers are getting knocked around over multiple innings. Come on coach, bring these guys out and allow them to prove how long they can go (or not go) like you did with "Nasty Nate"- saving them for only 1 inning of work is arguably costing us Ws.
