I don't know if this is sufficient to get a good look but here's some highlights.
Have you considered those Dogs?
I wish it would have shown the incomplete passes too.

Here's the entire game. Give it a watch. https://www.facebook.com/LiveCUSAFoo...3945485391056/
J'Mar may have been the best player on the field in that game. Maybe Quez Watkins or Willie Baker was better?
Teddy dropped a TD and a 1st down. Hardy dropped a 1st down and was tackled in the end zone before the ball got there leading to a FG instead of 1st and goal at the 2. Toussant could've caught one of the deep bombs. A USM DB made a PI to prevent another deep bomb from being a TD. Hale missed an easy FG. Our running game went nowhere even though Skip was determined to be balanced. Then there were the 2 questionable penalties on our defense that kept USM drives alive. Watkins abused Amik on many of his receptions. Our defense spotted them a free TD on their opening drive like we do every week. Our shanked punt also spotted USM another score. Skip abandoned the up tempo offense that USM couldn't stop and went into prevent mode. That's all off the top of my head. If any one of those things J'Mar really had nothing to do with goes the other way, Tech wins, and you wouldn't hear all this nonsense about J'Mar playing poorly. J'Mar played really well and wasn't the one making the mistakes. Pinning the L on him is ridiculous.
Due to Jack's weak arm, he only completed 3 passes over 10 yards in the air, and the one that went for a TD should've gotten his receiver killed.
To anyone who actually watched the game, there was really no question who the better QB was, and it was J'Mar by a mile.
And to those who say Jack has a lot of room for improvement, I ask: how? He's proven he's sharp on short throws. Is he gonna magically gain arm strength as a 22-23 year old? Or magically get the ability to scramble and run?

The PI in the end zone was due to him throwing it to late. Hebert (I think) was WIDE OPEN. Looked like a busted coverage. When he reached the end zone there wasn’t a Southern Miss player in 10 yards of him. He put so much air under it that the DB has enough time to recover to make contact enough to prevent a TD. It’s at the 8 minute mark of the 3rd quarter and there’s a replay you can watch a couple of plays later.

Have no clue about what Jack can do, and it looked like the DB was playing zone. Safety was out of position. Once he broke past the DB he was open as could be. If he doesn't put so much air under it, it might not have been a TD, but its definitely a long completion. Water under the bridge now.
And the result was still a positive one for Tech. We got the 15-yard DPI, and J'Mar drove us down to the 12-yd line where our drive stalled out after a couple failed Tucker runs for nothing and an incomplete pass on 3rd and long when J'Mar threw it away. Then Hale missed a chip shot FG he should make 95% of the time. I find it really hard to fault J'Mar on that drive. If being a split second late on that throw is the worst criticism of J'Mar, I think it's proof he played a great game.
If you’ll look at the game thread on page 21, I said he played a good first half. The second half he didn’t get much help at all. I have no problems with his performance. It wasn’t perfect, it was good enough to win. I’m trying to point out a larger problem. Holtz has drilled into his head so much about turnovers that he’s afraid to make the throws unless the player is wide open, and then he appears to hold back. I’ve said repeatedly he isn’t the same player that played in 2016. That’s not a result of him getting worse athletically or mentally, it’s because he’s taken on the persona of his coach. Absolutely terrified of making a mistake, and in being that way he can’t make decisions fast enough. He has all the ability in the world, and if Saturday Holtz would turn him loose and just let him play without worrying about making a turnover, you see a different Smith. That’s one mans opinion.
Pure dung!
Sometimes WRs drop passes. That has happened to Smith too. It happens to Drew Brees on occasion too. And guess what!? When the Saints miss on a pass attempt, sometimes it's Brees' fault. Yep, it's true, as great as he is sometimes Brees misses. He was way off early against the Eagles. But, while he's one of the best QBs of all time...he's not perfect. BUT!!!!! Brees is also the reason the Saints' offense is so potent, and the reason they are 9-1 even with a below average defense. You don't see people making excuses for Brees when he has an incomplete pass, or even when he throws an INT. He messes up sometimes and such plays are clearly his fault. And that's because everyone knows he makes waaaaaaaaay more great plays than poor ones.
Defensive penalties, a shanked punt, a missed FG...all excuses used in a vain attempt to excuse a crappy QB.
As I mentioned in another thread. A lot of our woes aren’t JMar.
I know Holtz calls his own plays, but ever since Fitch gotten here our offensive numbers have gone way done. Our play calling has gotten stale. Check the numbers pre-2017 and 2017-
The reason we are limited on the sets and plays? Not Fitch who is OC in salary only.
