More evidence of the failing ongoing coup against Trump. These DC establishment clowns are totally out of control. At this point, they're "all in" and I honestly believe they'll take this as far as to instigate fighting in the streets. They prefer civil war to relinquishing their hold on power in DC and they become more and more pathetic with each passing day.

Have started watching that show "The Last Defense." It documents wrongful convictions and how local police, the FBI, and federal prosecutors orchestrate a conviction by stacking the jury, and by manipulating evidence, often denying the judge's orders to share evidence with the defense counsel, or only sharing some of it.

One woman spent 16 years in prison after her 10-yr-old son was brutally murdered by a home invader. The authorities did not like that woman because of her appearance, at that time. She dressed gothic. There are interviews with jury members who cited her appearance as reason the jury "started off assuming she was guilty, and they did not see any evidence during the trial to make them think she was innocent." In other words, the exact opposite of "innocent until proven guilty." A local thug, who had been convicted for burglaries and a few assaults, confessed to killing that boy during a botched robbery attempt. He did so because he was dying of cancer and didn't have long to live anyway. Oops! poor woman. Not only was her son murdered, she had to rot in prison falsely accused.

There was also an episode on that woman in Kerrville, Texas, still on death row for killing her two sons.

Defense lawyers interviewed for the show made excuses saying the prosecution holds all the cards, and they can create all kinds of scenarios, and control the trial. "If they want you found guilty, even when they know you aren't, they can find a way." Of course, it doesn't help the defendant if you have lazy, apathetic defense lawyers, which appears to be the case for that Kerrville woman.

I assume you are talking about Darlie Routier and if the series led you to believe that she was falsely accused it must have omitted her court testimony and her unusual accounts and explanations given for the evidence of the case. With that said, one of the things prosecutors seemed to struggle with in that case is offering an explanation for why Darlie would kill her sons. Although motive is not an element that must be proved, the thinking is that juries will be very reluctant to convict someone unless they can see a reason “why.” Darlie took the stand in this case and a jury found her guilty. Obviously they didn’t find her credible. Juries can get it wrong, but we have the best judicial system in the world if you are a white defendant.

Yes, that's her name Darlie Routier. That's the Texas case still "hanging." It's been 21 years since her conviction and death penalty sentence. Her execution is postponed because she has a new team of lawyers handling her appeal. And, the state is not cooperating. According to one of her new lawyers, a young fellow out to make a name for himself, he's barely out of law school, they are still waiting on DNA testing results of blood samples found at the crime site. The state says "they'll get around to it, but there are other cases they have to handle first."

So, in Texas (is this true in other states too?) no motive has to be proven. Although prosecutors try to contrive something because they know jurors will be asking themselves, "why would that person do this?" That's a question most of us ask when someone commits a crime, especially heinous crimes.

"best judicial system in the world if you are a white defendant"

Of course, right out of the lib playbook, eh, goosey, play that race card!

News flash! Darlie Routier is white, as is that woman wrongly convicted of killing her son. Oops!

OJ Simpson is not white, and he got away with murder. Another oops!

Yes, motive is not an element of the offense that must be proven for murder. Intent is. But like I said, juries find it harder to convict when they don’t understand the “why.” It is a human nature thing.

I know she is white. That is why I made the comment that I made.

    More of the deep state.

State Department provided 'clearly false' statements, 'shocked' fed judge says

State Department: Clinton surrenders security clearance

Hillary Clinton's top security clearance is withdrawn in wake of email investigation.

In a combative exchange at a hearing Friday in Washington, D.C., a federal judge unabashedly accused career State Department officials of lying and signing "clearly false" affidavits to derail a series of lawsuits seeking information about former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's private email server and her handling of the 2012 terrorist attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya.
U.S. District Court Judge Royce Lamberth said he was "shocked" and "dumbfounded" when he learned that FBI had granted immunity to former Clinton chief of staff Cheryl Millsduring its investigation into the use of Clinton's server, according to a court transcript of his remarks.

"I had myself found that Cheryl Mills had committed perjury and lied under oath in a published opinion I had issued in a Judicial Watch case where I found her unworthy of belief, and I was quite shocked to find out she had been given immunity in — by the Justice Department in the Hillary Clinton email case," Lamberth said during Friday's hearing.
The Department of Justice's Inspector General (IG), Michael Horowitz, noted in a bombshell report in June that it was "inconsistent with typical investigative strategy" for the FBI to allow Mills to sit in during the agency's interview of Clinton during the email probe, given that classified information traveled through Mills' personal email account. "[T]here are serious potential ramifications when one witness attends another witness' interview," the IG wrote.

Lol’d at this part. Judge “Lamberth ultimately conceded that he had "misremembered" some details on the issue.” Sounds like the Judge has been watching too much Hannity.
