If we are going to continue to play Grambling home and away in baseball we might as well play NLU in a football series or two

Our AD, the great deal maker, had us driving 5 miles down the road to play in front of an announced 271 when they could have been playing at home in front of his announced 2000.
You are right. Not even close. Playing them in Grambling is typical of who our AD thinks we are...just another small SLC type school.
I meant playing GSU in baseball is tolerable, but playing nlu in football is not.
There are 12 regular season games in football, and 50+ in baseball. One or two games out of 50+ is insignificant. It is absolute bullchit to say that playing, and clobbering, GSU impacts Tech's chances at an at-large bid. Didn't we play GSU when Goff was here?
But, for Dwayne to compare the two....now that I think of it, he was probably just being flippant.

In basketball, yeah. But not in football. In hoops there are 30 or so regular season games, playing nlu once, alternating home and home year to year, like we do with USL is okay. Again, we are not in a position to earn an at-large bid to the Dance anyway, and even if we were, ONE game would not affect that.
But in football, 12 games, and just 4 OOC's, why waste one of those with a trip to Funroe, even if it were only every 5 years or so (assuming a two-year contract, home/home)? I am NOT saying our OOC scheduling is all that great now....although it's not that bad sometimes...but stooping to scheduling the injuns, and tying up two years, is simply unacceptable. Just say NO to nlu.
