At this point I don’t know why we’d use any more pitchers today. We’re not coming back so we might as well take our thumping and save what pitching we have left (if you can call it that) for tomorrow.
So typical of Tech... a good upset win one day followed by an all out embarrassing performance the next day.
Oh well, as they say “that’s baseball for you.”
HCLB has waved the white flag, and an extra base hit or two more singles now will end this one early.
Walk and two singles finished it off with two outs in the 8th.

It's probably happened at least six times this year… Dumbest play ever was today though… Runner on second and third, no outs, sharp grounder to third base, and our runner goes on contact. He was dead at home. Who is coaching these guys?
Loss cost 3 RPI points. Tech settled at 55 RPI last night, and the current number is 56. Predicted RPI still at 61.

I don't doubt our coaches are that bad, but the guy who went on contact has been consistent in his mistakes.
It’s going to take a monumental over-achieving effort for Tech to win game 3 beginning with something close to a season’s best pitching performance. I don’t think we can afford to give up 6+ runs.
I know Tech is capable of playing well enough to win but with everything included we’re still going to have to overcome that Southern Mississippi jinx that always seems to decide things.
Get it done Dawgs! Make us proud! Make this season be for something!
