Rice is 3 outs away from beating FAU.
They are about to bat in the bottom of the 8th, leading 5-4.

Rice leads 5-4 in Top 9. FAU is down to final out
Rice moves to semifinals - FAU to play Tech later - probably closer to 5pm

Gonna be a brutal rest of the tourney. Have to beat FAU and Rice twice to get to the championship game. Hoping our bats wake up, and our pitching holds.
We have to win the tourney. It would have been good to get FAU during the season but all that's behind us now. We're painted into a corner and now its nut up or shut up.
The fix was in before the tournament ever started. CUSA wants Rice to win it all & get the automatic NCAA bid to send Methuselah Graham out in a big way while SMiss will go in as an at large.
Burroughs got ejected in game 1 because Leal was getting screwed and everyone knew it.
Tech won’t be jacked with again in such a big way until and if we come up against Rice again and then it’ll be over.
One game at a time - if we can beat FAU and this is a big if, I feel pretty good to face Rice against. They don't have a deep bench.
