Each Memorial Day Navy Lt Michael Murphy -died in Afghanistan 2005- is honored and memorialized by huge numbers of crossfitters across America.

The "MURPH" is a special work out challenge, lots of flags tears, emotion, gratitude in a special environment. A magnificent way to honor Murphy and all military, police, fire, responders who've given their lives in service to Americans. I obviously can't do the whole workout, but working where a couple of hundred do participate is amazing to see the emotion and power of the memory of this American Hero.
