Can obummer run for POTUS again?

Just heard that someone who was POTUS can run for the office again, if they wait 10 years since the end of their last term. If true, that is interesting it's 10 years, and not 8 years. Means obummer can run in the 2028 election cycle.

This has come up due to a new book where obummer says he came along about 10 years too soon. The US, we stupid, clueless masses, were not ready for someone as smart and sophisticated as him. And, maybe by then, there really will be 57 states he can run in!!!

Sorry....obummer is about as stupid and clueless a puppet as there has ever been. WE are the clueless ones? At least most of know there are 50 states.

Anyway, is it Constitutional for a former POTUS to become POTUS again?

AMENDMENT XXII
SECTION 1
No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. But this Article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President, when this Article was proposed by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this Article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term.

Whew! thank God for the Constitution!

It's a two-term limit, which don't have to be back to back terms, necessarily.

Jimmy Carter and Prez Bush I could both be elected as POTUS again. Both are kind of elderly for the stress of the office, though.

And Gerald Ford, had he been elected in '76 could not have run again, since he served as POTUS finishing Nixon's term.
