Incidentally, the cb Morris made the catch on was a first round draft pick. NOT EVEN CLOSE. We're talking about a top 10 IA team, this isn't comparable to the AA stuff.

Brett Favre in the monsoon game in 1988. Also, Tommy Hinton is in the CFL Hall of Fame, but his time at Tech was before JAS.

Here's the best 6-6 team in the history of LA Tech football. The 1998 Bulldog team was loaded with fantastic talent, including Tim Rattay (QB), Troy Edwards (WR), Sean Cangelosi (WR), Bobby Ray Tell (RB), John Simon (Flanker/WR), James Jordan (WR) and more. This team was also taxed with a brutal schedule (see below), including #1 Nebraska, Big XII champion TX A&M, Auburn, the undefeated and best Tulane team (12-0) in a century, a UCF team led by All-World QB and future NFL star Dante Culpepper, and a game we should have won at Wyoming.
There's lots of video of #16, Troy Edwards, in these two videos below. Edwards may be the most exciting player to ever wear a LA Tech uniform.

And we would have easily beaten the 4–7 lspoo chiggers under Gerry DiNardo that year.
There was a really loud MVSU fan right behind us. There was a former football player also sitting close by. The football player got fed up and bet the MVSU guy $20 that we would win. He was really loud until about the end of the first quarter, then he also got really quiet. When we broke the third long reverse play for big yards, the MVSU guy got up, quietly handed the football player a $20, and left. The rest of us had a good laugh over it.
I do agree about Rice. He was clearly way more talented than his team. The rest of the receivers were ducking and covering by that point, but he kept playing.

It was actually Boazy.
I was talking about the LSU game...
I always felt Morris underachieved here, there were flashes and moments of utter brilliance followed by games where he was invisible -
Part of it, can be blamed on the system he was playing in under Precious, but as gifted as he was - he should of been a force
I still feel that Josh Bradley was the better tight end between the two at the end of the day
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
