Just saw where NCAA rule now allows up to four games without losing your Red Shirt. This essentially means a player has four and one-third seasons to play.

So play your stud freshman for the toughest 4 games them get them for 4 more years?
That's the way I see it.
I don’t like it.
I agree. Next they will be letting guys transfer willy nilly and maybe even allowing the colleges to trade players.
Seems like one more way to get guys to pick P5’s over G5’s because the offer from smaller school to play right away doesn’t mean as much.
It also allows a big school to see how a player pans out in a love game before possibly pulling their scholly. Then they have to sit out a year if they leave.
Live game.....
Any 4 games or the first 4?

As far as I can tell, any four.
Can’t say I agree with coach on this one. Maybe it will be okay, but I still see the advantage leaning toward big schools.
Also wouldn't he have another back up who wasn't a red shirt?
