Not many fiscal conservatives left...or perhaps there never were any.

The corrupt DC establishment at its finest. Name you poison. Republican or Democrat. It makes no difference when it comes to spending in DC.

CBO has raised their 2018 deficit projections and 194B of the increase is from reduced revenues from Trump’s tax cut.

Meantime, many of us are buying frozen chicken and store brand while those who get the real money from the "farm bill" are buying steaks, seafood, and name brand stuff. Democrat voters also spend tons of food stamp money eating out each month.

You took a shot at government spending (vote buying). I was just keeping it real.

We fiscal conservatives are calling for massive cuts to the Federal budget. Eliminate the Dept of Education, in its entirety, and many, many other such cuts. Don't spend $billions on illegal aliens. Stop foreign aid to hostile countries. Begin drastic reforms in ALL social programs, from SSI to Food Stamps and all such programs in-between. Eliminate the ATF....can keep some of those agents by transferring into another agency, like maybe the FBI, once that agency is cleaned out of obummer-loving libtards. So on and so on...

We could completely eliminate the federal deficit, and start working down the debt with sensible cuts to the bloated federal budget.

I didn’t take a shot at “vote buying.” I took a shot at so-called conservatives massively increasing the deficit. How is it fiscally responsible to cut revenues so drastically before you have made commensurate spending cuts?

Well, “Republicans” have had control of the White House and both parts of the legislative branch for more than a minute now. Why are we even further from balancing the budget than we were when they took full control?

You are confused. Are you asking about "fiscal conservatives" or "Republicans?" Which one?

    Ha! Too perfect.

    Don't forget about Medicaid.

Need to increase taxes on the working poor. They'd be less likely to vote for a candidate that supports wasteful spending.

Need to stop taxing income and start taxing purchases (with a higher tax for buying overseas and bringing the product here). That way we are truly taxing "the rich" and not just the high-earning, productive, highly motivated people that make the country go around. Taxing income like we do is a disincentive to work (it's punishment).

How is it fiscally responsible to discourage hard work, which is how you collect the taxes to begin with?

Where was your concern about this two years ago? When Obamacare was passed? When Medicaid was expanded? You have very selective outrage.
