I caught just a piece of Rush's show today and he made a very good point. The reason that many democrats and leftists are up in arms about any Trump SCOTUS pick is that they view the Judicial System as a 3rd political arm, not apolitical. For many Conservatives they would like to see someone who is apolitical and interprets the Constitution more rigidly. Leftists want to use the courts to force political change, thus their angst about the SCOTUS. Several are calling for "packing the court" when democrats get full control again and raise the number of supreme court justices to 12 or 14 and fill it with liberal justices like RGB who would throw the power of the court on the side of progressivism.

Yep! the left has mostly failed in winning the hearts and minds of the American people, so they can't rely on the correct path to achieve their evil agenda...get people elected to legislative bodies and properly get laws passed. The left have had some victories in that arena, but nearly enough to push their commie philosophy. So, they have resorted to the Judicial with evil commie judges making law from the bench.
