2018: How to Watch Louisiana Tech Football

Hopefully this thread will answer your questions on how to watch the Dawgs this year. You will need to be creative, as most of our games are not on cable.

ESPN+ (South Alabama, Southern, UTSA, UTEP, Rice)
This is the new online streaming service from ESPN. It is NOT this same as ESPN3. You cannot use your cable login to access this. It is a $5/month service that you can access in various ways: Computer, Roku, iPhone/iPad, Android phone/tablet/TV, Apple TV (4th Gen), Fire TV/Tablet, Chromecast

    ESPN/ESPN2/SEC Network/ESPNU
    (LSU-ESPNU, Mississippi State-TBD)
ESPN Networks are available on most cable subscriptions (check what Tier it is on in your area). They are also available through DirecTV Now, FUBO, Hulu with Live TV, Playstation Vue, YouTube TV.

    beIN Sports
    (North Texas)
beIN Sports is a cable channel that you must access via a subscription. To see if it is available on your cable service, check here. It is also on two streaming services: Fubo and Sling (Sports Extra Package). You can usually get a free trial for one of those services.

    Facebook (UAB)
This is an online exclusive that is available at Stadium's Facebook Page. You can watch on your TV with Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, NVidia Shield, Sony TV, Samsung Smart TV or Xbox One. AirPlay or Chromecast. Roku does NOT currently have a Facebook channel.

CBS Sports Network (FAU, WKU, C-USA Championship)
CBS SN is available on most cable subscriptions (check what Tier it is on in your area). It is also available through DirecTV Now, Fubo, Hulu with Live TV, Playstation Vue, and YouTube TV.

    Stadium (Southern Miss)
Stadium should be available Over-The-Air in Shreveport/Monroe and other areas. An exact list of stations should be available closer to game time. OTA and Cable channel finder. You can also stream via the Stadium app in the App Store, Android mobile app in the Google Store, Apple TV Roku, and Android TV or your computer. It is also available on Pluto TV (Where to watch Pluto.tv)

Besides the streaming devices it appears that you can get ESPN+ on your desk top/lap top through the espn.com portal. Of course you will have to pay but you won't need those freakin' devices which this old fart doesn't have (well, I do have a Chromecast but would have to relearn to use it). I can just play it from my desk top to my TV. Actually they do list espn.com on the espn+ site.

Wow! Thanks sportdawg. That was a lot of research!

How crazy would it be if we were shown this thread 15 years ago? We would have no clue what most of this is.

Again, thanks Sportdawg. I suppose there hasn't been an announcement on the Mississippi State game.

Yes, thank you! For some reason I listed Sling instead of Fubo.

LSU & Mississippi State will be 12 day windows. I'm assuming they will be on SEC Network.

What times? It seems that everybody streams through some different device. Should I get another device every time some one wants to stream something? I have a perfectly good up to date computer and TV. At one time I was streaming HULU through a Sony Blu Ray. Now HULU doesn't allow that. I can still use my Samsung Blu Ray, but if they stop that I guess they will lose a customer. Actually I just went through their complete movie list and couldn't find anything I wanted to watch anyway. I was thinking about going to HULU live instead of my Uverse, but I don't want to buy another box.

I think I streamed HULU through my Sony Blu Ray just a few weeks ago. When did it change?

Us old farts living in the country are out of luck. Just 2 or 3 years ago I was able to see at least 2 out 3 Tech football games on satellite TV.
