I disagree. It was worst than our beating against Moo State last year. (hopefully we don't get beat worse this year). We shot ourselves in the foot several times last year, and while we wouldn't have won that night, no way was Moo State 30 pts better. Today, FAU was completely out-classed. OU could have scored 90, or close to it, if they wanted to. And FAU only scored when non-ship players were coming off of OU's bench in the 4th qtr.

Funny thing is....OU is not that good, and FAU is not that bad. It was just one of those days.

Never should have scheduled a game against a consensus, pre-season play-off favorite, on the road for the first game. of the year Not to mention FAU was breaking in a new QB. This beating was almost as bad as ours against Mississippi State last year.

What the heck!? FAU got some preseason Top 25 votes. This is supposed to be Lane's team for 2018. They didn't have any key injuries and were missing some starters. This was the best they got, apparently. It was an old fashioned beat down, plain and simple. Major embarrassment for FAU and for CUSA.

It couldn't have happened to a "nicer' bunch.

I doubt one play from FAU-OU will be replayed a thousand times every week since it happened, including a year later and then of course when we play them later. That is Holtz's legacy.

Neither a good showing for sure. Still I would rather have taken this whipping than the one we took from Mississippi State last year. At least, FAU took this one on the road, against a consensus, pre-season play-off team. Everyone expected FAU to get blown-out. OU was a play-off team last year and a consensus pick to return this season. Our beatdown was at home to a team that finished fourth in their division, not in the top 4 in the country. Just be thankful we didn’t sellout the Joe. FAU’s embarrassment took place in front of what 70-80k?

Our beating was the first sign that we were not a very good team. I'm not sure what the implications of the FAU beatdown will mean for them. I think their results will be better than ours. 7-6 record and fourth place in their division. Only time will tell.
