THEY may not understand it, but us independent minded folks know that Trump’s “winning” is just red meat populism. He just keeps stirring the pot of his base throwing scraps of chum in the political waters. Good for him but bad for America. If the right and left weren’t so tribal it wouldn’t work. Unfortunately, such a desire for one’s tribe to “win” ensures that we will never be safe from tyranny.

Oh well. The article mischaracterizes the argument completely, but it's worth its weight in comedic gold by appealing to stage hypnotists to debunk the theory. This part was particularly funny:

"Although the mentalist refuted any correlation between hypnosis and false memories, he did stress that memories can be planted through suggestion."
"It tends to contaminate memory. It's purely the power of suggestion."

I wish it was easier to copy and paste from the article because it's pretty funny. Even the "experts" don't really do a good job of refuting the claims. Not that it matters anymore.

Yeah, it is silly but the argument that you can hypnotize yourself is silly. That is not what the paper that they wrote was about.
